The Wanted 18

Through a clever mix of stop-motion animation, archival footage, drawings, and interviews, The Wanted 18 recreates an astonishing true story of nonviolent resistance during the First Intifada. When the Palestinian town of Beit Sahour decides to boycott Israeli dairy products, they acquire a herd of 18 cows to produce their own milk. The self-sufficiency initiative is quickly declared a security threat by the Israeli military, turning the cows into outlaws and sparking an absurd, comedic, and inspiring cat-and-mouse game to keep them hidden.
